The qualifying learner is capable of:

  • Using mathematical techniques to collect and organise data.
  • Applying mathematical analysis to calculate and represent financial and economic data.
  • Applying mathematical analysis to indicate economic relationships.

 

This training course explains the nature of change and its impact on organisational sustainability with reference to internal and external environmental changes affecting a specific unit. It also includes the formulation of recommendations on implementing the change process.

Purpose Of The Unit Standard

This Unit Standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second level managers such as heads of department, section heads or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them.

The qualifying learner is capable of:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of and insight into the need for change within the context of environment change.
  • Analysing an area requiring a change process.
  • Selecting a model for implementing a change management process.
  • Formulating recommendations on implementing the change process.

This training course demonstrates understanding of the reality of diversity and its value in a unit. It also identifies cultural biases, stereotypes and perceptions together with the influence they can have on dealing with diversity.

Purpose Of The Unit Standard

This unit standard is intended for managers in all economic sectors. These managers would typically be second level managers such as heads of department, section heads or divisional heads, who may have more than one team reporting to them.

The qualifying learner is capable of:

  • Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of diversity in the workplace.
  • Demonstrating understanding of the reality of diversity and its value in a unit.
  • Managing team members taking into account similarities and differences.
  • Dealing with disagreements and conflicts arising from diversity in a unit.

This training course covers key concepts of managerial finance, the interpretation and analysis therof, forecasting, budgets and supervision of financial units.

This programme has been aligned to registered unit standards. You will be assessed against the outcomes of the unit standards by completing a knowledge assignment that covers the essential embedded knowledge stipulated in the unit standards. When you are assessed as competent against the unit standards, you will receive a certificate of competence and be awarded 8 credits towards a National Qualification.
