...for women who want to invest in themselves while aiding child welfare.
The Mindspa Institute in collaboration with sponsors, Menlyn Boutique Hotel and The Black Bamboo Restaurant will host the second DEAR FUTURE ME event on Saturday 24 August 2019 from 10h00-14h00 at the Menlyn Boutique Hotel. This event is aimed at not only to empower entrepreneurial women, but also to give women a chance to invest in themselves internally and externally all while aiding Child Welfare Tshwane. Tickets are on sale on iTickets at R160 per person and all ticket proceeds go to Child Welfare Tshwane.
The idea behind this event was to create a quick “me-time” opportunity for the busy woman. It is a “pop-in anytime flea market style” event where women can experience a mind, body and soul rejuvenation while doing some retail therapy. The three main objectives of this event is to firstly bring women closer to a more fabulous future them. Women will learn how to present themselves better on the outside through advice on makeup, clothing, hair and jewelry, to name but a few, and on the inside through inspirational power sessions. Objective number two is to provide a platform where women entrepreneurs can sell or showcase their products or services. This provides a chance to enhance networking and business skills development. Then the third objective is to raise funds for Child Welfare Tshwane.
During the day there will be quick but entertaining power talks and how-to demonstrations, anything and everything for women….from hobbies, style, home, make-up to style and colour discussions and a possible informal fashion show. There are great sponsors involved this year and therefore ALL ticket proceeds will go directly to Child Welfare Tshwane. The handing over of the donations to Child Welfare Tshwane will be done at 14h00. Ticket holders will receive a complimentary sparkling welcome drink, tea/coffee and light finger snacks during the day compliments of the Black Bamboo Restaurant and the Menlyn Boutique Hotel. The first 100 ladies to buy tickets receive a FREE goodie bag. There are many other exciting and delicious treats like wine tasting, lucky draws, style workshops, a potential informal fashion show etc. Some might even win a free soft skills course to better their business skills. The programme, list of exhibitors and stalls as well as a breakdown of what is in store for the day will be published and updated regularly on social media platforms.
This event was the brainchild of Ms Elmarie Pretorius, International Speaker, Author, Trainer and Owner of The Mindspa Institute, a soft skills training organization. She has a passion for empowering women and for Child Welfare Tshwane. By organizing Dear Future Me she hopes that it becomes an annual event whereby we can invest in developing and empowering women and also raise funds for charity.

We provide social work services to the children through therapy, assessing the potential risks threatening children, counselling and alternative accommodation to ensure that children are safe, fed and have the opportunity to grow up under better conditions. Head Office is based in Groenkloof, at the premises of the Bramley Children’s Home, but we have accessible community offices in Mamelodi, Eersterust, Sunnyside, Atteridgeville, Elandspoort and Olievenhoutbosch. At Child Welfare Tshwane we see potential – even if no one else does.
We are partially funded by government but to meet all our obligations we rely on the support of volunteers and donors and The Mind Spa and Menlyn Boutique Hotel have both been amazing to assist us in achieving our financial targets. We appreciate the support from them so very much!
