This intensive two-day course explores all aspects related to effective and emotionally intelligent leadership and will equip delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to handle diversity within their teams, communicate their strategies and goals successfully, manage difficult people, difficult conversations and conflict.  It will explain the principles of successful teamwork, how to delegate effectively and how to understand behaviour in order to modify it.  It deals with the principles of managing change in people and business and how to implement and continuously ensure adherence to discipline, systems and procedures.

The focus will be on a workshop session approach, limited to a small group of high-level individuals.

High Definition, 3 Dimensional Approach to Leadership in South Africa Today.

Leaders today have to employ a High Definition approach to leadership that encompasses the ability to focus with persistence and perseverance on achieving the goals of the organisation.  They have to have high definition clarity of vision with a high-rise view of the playing field and the ability to influence their diverse team long distance, judge the moves the competition make, interpret the rules of the referees and adapt their game plan to ever-changing and increasingly challenging playing conditions.

In addition leaders today have to employ a 3D approach to leadership.  They must be able to view their organisation from top to bottom, understand and communicate with all its shareholders, retain and gain customers and keep an eye both on the bottom-line and the strategic horizon.

An Interactive Approach to Business Strategy

This high level two-day workshop is an interactive, brainstorming approach to strategy planning and implementation.  It deals with the importance, benefits and new trends in Strategic Planning, elements of the strategic planning process, using the most efficient organisational structure to implement your strategy, understanding the critical role leadership plays, explains different strategic approaches, using SWOT and PEST analysis, vision, mission and goal setting.  It also focuses strongly on implementation and measurement, including how to manage all stakeholders through this critical business imperative.

"Think like a wise man but communicate in the language of the people." ~ William Butler Yeats

Being able to communicate, negotiate and present effectively is a critical leadership skill. Ralph Waldo Emerson said that in leadership “speech is power: speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel. It is to bring another out of his bad sense into your good sense.”  This two-day high-level intervention will focus on leadership communication at its highest and most compelling level.  It will showcase great leaders and how they have powerfully used their communication skills to bring about strategic change.

Leaders are strategic change agents and this two-day course will provide leadership with fresh insight into the change process, how change affects the business and its internal and external stakeholders.  It will provide leadership with updated skills to enable them to communicate and implement change in their business in an effective, positive manner.

In business and in life, change is the one constant. Darwin said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” Make yourself, your team and your business fit for change, flexible, creative, innovative and directed towards a common vision.

In addition building an inclusive environment that celebrates and leverages the talents of all employees is more than a good idea—it is a business imperative.

The concept and implementation of Mentoring and Coaching of individuals in business have grown significantly in recent years in South Africa as business recognises the increased value of retaining and growing star performers. Regular Mentoring and coaching sessions keep individuals on track in terms of the values, vision and strategy of the business and assist in the development of people in organisations.  This two-day course will equip leaders with the tools to implement a mentoring and coaching approach to help unlock potential, reinforce strengths and counteract any negative behaviour, all with the aim of maximising the individual’s performance.

How to Positively Influence Your Stakeholders

The goal for a board of directors focuses on ensuring the stability of your organisation and you need to maintain specific requirements and standards for the participation of the board. Serving on a board requires dealing with diverse personalities and possible conflicts as a result, but taking certain steps should ease tensions and lead to increased productivity. Taking action and knowing how to effectively manage a board of directors can improve your organisation. This two-day course will focus on how to deal effectively with board members and other important stakeholders in your organisation

Anyone who’s been approached to join a board recently could easily see the opportunity as more curse than blessing. But the truth is, directorships remain a vital function of business, and those who are successful at it are in great demand. Whether you’re under consideration for a board seat or just want a look inside the changing corporate boardroom, come to this workshop to learn what it means to be a director today — and what it takes to succeed in turbulent times.

Thank you for your passion, energy and enthusiasm and sharing sound business communication and listening skills with us.  The workshop was presented in a professional manner, yet with humor and relevant practical examples throughout the workshop.

I’m confident that every employee was truly challenged.  We all realize that it is time to throw out the old rulebook and to embrace a new game plan.  Your address has a very powerful message and certainly jolted our personnel into positive action with a greater awareness of attitudes, believe systems, the words we speak and our habits.

I have personally experienced the inspiration, the creative action to which it leads and the results I expected.
